A rare etching restrike of a watercolor by French Belgian artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté, one of the most famous botanical artists of the 18th century. Splendidly printed in the early 1950s. Redouté was the court artist for Marie Antoinette and was nicknamed "The Raphael of Flowers." He represents a high point in botanical art.
