D29

During the 1600s, 1700s and early 1800s Sweden made very beautiful objects in tin. From 1694 stamped tin with stamps for manufacturing plant, master and årsbokstäver. This makes it quite easy to determine the tins origin. Until 1912 lasted obligation to control stamping tin in Sweden. In the late 1800s the production of tin nearly died in Sweden. When the iron stove was required copper vessels and porcelain breakthrough in the late 1800s competed the cumbersome tin objects soon. The Swedish designer brand Svenkt Tenn rejuvenated the status of the tin with its opening in 1924.
