The emigration from Sweden to North America from the mid 1800s to the early 1920s left about 1.5 million Swedes, Sweden and moved mainly to the United States . Gradually returned about a fifth of the emigrants to Sweden. Emigrant to the New World stored in their belongings during the trip.
